La Ceja

Santa Helena

Located 30 minutes from the Hotel Lagoon, it is undoubtedly the district with the greatest visibility and cultural and tourist recognition in the city of Medellín. The reasons for this are related to its past full of tradition, its rich landscape and nature. It is recognized for the silletera tradition, a fact that leads it to become a cultural heritage. El Carmen de Viboral

El Retiro

Known as the “Cuna de la Libertad” (Cradle of Freedom), since the first group of slaves in Colombia was freed, it is a town located in the eastern part of Antioquia, only 26 minutes away from the Lagoon Hotel. An attractive place for having a preserved architecture and green landscapes with didactic and historical museums. It has traditional families of cabinetmakers, which has given it great national recognition for its delicate woodwork.
